I am a artist based in Berkeley, CA.  I use traditional art media as well as digital art and photography. I’m also a cartoonist and an aspiring author/illustrator of children’s books.  I’m an avid student of folklore an mythology, and this deeply influences my work, best represented in my gallery entitled “Mystic Realms”.  I have been a child psychotherapist and art therapist for the past 25 years, and I still feel the sense of wonder and mystery about the world. My Nature-themed art is influenced by a mother who became a watercolor artist and studied Chinese and Japanese art, and a father who is a retired microbiologist and amateur nature photographer. You can see Asian influences and an interest in patterns and forms in the microcosmic universe.  I live with my husband of 30 years, a grumpy calico cat, and a newly adopted little dog with the jaw strength of a crocodile.
